In water, I am free. I let the water dissolve my thoughts, and when I emerge I am less bound by them. I was experimenting with how to capture this magical experience in words when I attended a poetry workshop in Southend with Daniel Kramb. He shared his Little Estuaries and encouraged us to play with them. These six line poems - with a pause in the middle - are perfect for capturing the before and after of giving yourself to water. This blog is a log of my swims via the medium of Little Estuaries.
